POSITION Vice President, University Partnerships


NATURE OF BUSINESS:  A global online services provider in higher education


LOCATION: Johannesburg


REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President, Africa


SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Assume responsibility and authority for establishing new university partnerships in South Africa, with particular emphasis on: formulating, developing and implementing business strategies aimed at increasing growth in customers; establishing credibility, professional rapport and building close personal relationships with key members of tertiary institutions




  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field, a  Master’s Degree is preferred

  • Eight to ten years’ working experience and a proven track record in business development as well as long lead time sales

  • Experience in building strategic partnerships, preferably with universities or other highly complex organizations

  • A good understanding of the Executive Education market is required




  • Work closely with a number of key university stakeholders, including Vice Chancellor’s, Deputy Vice Chancellors, Deans, Department Chairs, faculty members, and business administrators in order to sell the partnership model and gain buy in at all levels.

  • Adopt an entrepreneurial approach to the marketing, identification and development of new business opportunities

  • Design and implement the business development strategy for the organisation
