POSITION: Project Manager, Zambia

JOB LOCATION: Lusaka, Zambia

REPORTS TO: Regional Director, Africa



Serving as the organisations Project Manager, assume responsibility for the delivery including all design, procurement, construction management and start-up of this green field manufacturing facility. Assume responsibility for all aspects and stages of the project over the 18 month scheduled period including all design, procurement, construction management and start-up through to eventual hand over to the operating staff.  To assume responsibility and authority for the effective leadership and profitable management of the project so as to ensure that progress targets are met or exceeded, with particular emphasis on ensuring that: planning and implementation, on time delivery and within budget targets are achieved, while motivating, mentoring and guiding the internal project team to their full potential; and creating an ethos of excellence, safety and desire for continuous improvement and success



  • Engineering degree and Project Management qualification preferred
  • Must have prior experience of managing the delivery of green-field projects from inception through to completion in Africa (Zambia preferable) gained within a construction, minerals processing projects environment or engineering consulting or project management consulting firm
  • Demonstrated track record in development and management of multiple schedule-driven projects
