Key areas of activity:

  • Ensure operational Human Resources support meets business needs.
  • Ensure the daily Human Resources deliveries and requirements are met.
  • Assume responsibility for the provision of strategic and value add Human Resources services to the company by engaging with the business to understand the challenges faced and the associated people implications.
  • Play a key supporting role in the company’s leadership team and have shared responsibility for delivery of the company’s strategic plan, budget and initiatives.
  • Play a proactive leadership role within the Global Human Resources team and the broader Human Resources community.
  • Ensure that the delivery of the Human Resources strategy meets the needs of the Business.
  • Be responsible for the sustainment and implementation of key Global Human Resources initiatives in the company enabling progress on the Human Resources strategy and roadmap by engaging all stakeholders.
  • Define the recruitment, reward, training and development requirements for the Business and ensure these are delivered via the local and global functions as appropriate.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory requirements. Analyse and present the impacts to the Executive team before implementing changes.

Key Attributes Required:

  • Must have a Degree or Diploma in human resources management
  • Should currently be leading a human resources division for an industrial manufacturing or engineering company which employs at least 200 people, but maximum 1,500 people
  • Should ideally have worked in a global organisation
  • Must have managed a staff complement of at least four people
  • Proven track record of success with negotiations, management of projects and business consultancy
  • Proven track record of success in broad, generalist operational human resources roles
  • Broad generalist human resources knowledge including employee relations, reward, change management, organisational design, resourcing and learning & development
  • Significant experience in reward management; including understanding of benchmarking, implementation of grading structures, incentive design and management and awareness of total reward strategies
