POSITION: Financial Director

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Cropping and Livestock Farming, Sub-Saharan Africa

JOB LOCATION: Southern Africa

REPORTS TO: Managing Director



  • Assume responsibility for the financial and administrative operations of of two businesses with particular emphasis on working with the Board, Shareholders and senior management team to grow the business regionally and from a profitability point of view, whilst assisting in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans
  • Lead and manage the audit and budgeting process, all cash and treasury management operations; all financial transactions and capital expenditure as well as ensuring tax compliance and the timeous submission of  all tax returns



  • Must be a Chartered Accountant
  • Should ideally have held the position of Finance Director of a Group which supplies products to the agricultural and livestock sector; or Regional Finance Director of a significant similar company in Africa
  • Must have Africa experience and a working knowledge of both industries
  • Must be a seasoned financial professional with sound knowledge of and experience in tax, including withholding taxes as well as corporate income and value added tax; monthly reporting; transfer pricing and thin capitalisation
