POSITION: National Sales Manager

NATURE OF BUSINESS: Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices Company

JOB LOCATION: Johannesburg

REPORTS TO: Divisional Manager

 

SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:

Assume responsibility and leadership for the National Sales role for a division in a growing multinational company. Lead the team of professional sales representatives and implement the sales and marketing strategy. Seek opportunities for growth domestically and in Sub-Saharan Africa. Use established relationships and build new networks to grow the Company’s presence.

 

KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • A tertiary qualification in Science, Sales and Marketing or  business
  • Should have a minimum of 5 to 8 years’ sales management experience in a medical device and/or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience within a multinational environment is important
  • Should have a thorough understanding of the South African healthcare market
  • Must have strong relationships with key decision makers in both private and public health care sectors
  • Must be commercial and have good business acumen

 

KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  •    Implement the Sales and Marketing strategy
  •   Analyse and report regional sales as well as perform forecasting
  •   Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information
  •   Seek opportunities for growth both in the domestic and Sub-Saharan market
  •   Coach and develop a professional sales team by providing visible leadership
