Position Summary:
Responsibility and authority for the effective leadership of the engineering function of a division with particular emphasis on ensuring that new assets are built according to specifications and that operating assets meet operations and maintenance best practices
Key Attributes Required:

Must be an engineering graduate. A postgraduate business management qualification would be an added advantage

At least five years executive experience in the engineering division of a major industrial organisation ideally in the steel, mining or petrochemical sectors.

Should have managed a staff complement of at least 400 people.

Experience in plant maintenance, asset management and reliability engineering is essential.

Should ideally have been responsible for the engineering function during the design and construction of a new plant.
