Company Background:
Large heavy engineering company with annual revenues in excess of R1 billion.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director the Financial Director will have responsibility and authority for the financial health and governance of the Business.
Key areas of activity:

Participating in the Business' strategic planning processes by providing financial leadership and commercial acumen

Providing high standards of financial control and ensuring effective management of working capital

Making presentations on results, forecasts and future plans to the Board and holding company

Building strong financial management capability within the Business
Key Attributes Required:

Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant

At least ten years post-qualifying experience with a minimum of five years in an equivalent position within a manufacturing/production organisation with a turnover of at least R500 million

Ideal to have worked in a heavy industrial or engineering environment

The ability to translate business strategy into actionable financial plans

Successful track record in financial planning and providing high standards of financial control and effective management of working capital

Familiarity with commercial, tax and legal matters
