Company Background:
As the Partner of a significant privately owned investment management firm, the Trust's business is to provide venture capital financing to qualifying business and social entrepreneurial ventures in South Africa.
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the incumbent will have responsibility and authority to lead the development and operation of the company in conjunction with the Board in order to:
Key areas of activity:

implement detailed strategic, operational and financial plans for business and social entrepreneurship in accordance with the trust deed and the company's core values

operate in conformance with the company's trust deed, as well as with all relevant laws, agreements and Board resolutions
Key Attributes Required:

Graduate, possibly with a commercial, financial or legal specialisation. A Master of Business Administration degree would be advantageous

A minimum of ten years' relevant experience as a senior officer in the area of investment management, business and/or social entrepreneurship or corporate social investment within a development finance institution, other type of financial institution, foundation or similar/other organisation with centres of business and/or social entrepreneurship
