REPORTS TO: Divisional Chief Executive Officer
SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY:
The Managing Director of this fleet business will be required to drive the business from the front to achieve the desired financial objectives; creating, developing and implementing a vision, strategic direction and momentum to grow the company organically; developing and maintaining commercial relationships with customers; ensuring the highest levels of customer service; and motivating, mentoring and guiding the management team
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
This fleet management company is part of a leading diversified industrial services and retail group.
KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

At least 12 years post qualifying experience and should currently be the Managing Director or Head of Division in the fleet management / asset based finance sector

Experience in the sale of fleet management products is essential
-
Should have an understanding of full maintenance leasing and the pricing, funding mechanisms, maintenance rates involved in the costing thereof
-
Should ideally have worked in a start-up company and have had experience in successfully building and growing a business
-
Strong sales and marketing flair, astute in handling clients and a tough negotiator, able to drive the business from the front
-
Be continuously vigilant of market movements and gather competitor intelligence
KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

To determine the strategic vision, objectives, business model and operating criteria for the company for the immediate, medium and long term
-
Formulate and implement the budget; regularly evaluate and report on the performance of the company against established objectives, plans and budgets

Establish personal credibility with the company’s key customers/business partners, ensuring the protection of key accounts and the development of new business

Examine existing sales and customer services activities and methods, making improvements or changes where appropriate
-
Effectively and efficiently manage all available resources to achieve optimum business performance
-
Actively promote the company and its products and services in the marketplace
-
Lead the business into greater growth and profitability by implementing a style of management which encourages an ethos of excitement and innovation
