Our client, African Century, is an African investment business with interests in agri-processing, financial services and private equity. The Group requires a Managing Director who will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe, to lead its Poultry business.

Increasing annual turnover to US$100 million in five years
TOTAL STAFF RESPONSIBILITY:
± 200 people
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Managing Director, Poultry Business, will be responsible and accountable for the operational management, growth and profitability of a fastgrowing business with current operations in Mozambique employing 200 people. He/she will expand the business into other regions in sub-Saharan Africa
KEY ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

Ideally a graduate with BSc Food or Agricultural Science or Business degree

Ideally have managed a poultry operation in sub-Saharan Africa.

Experience in the fresh/frozen foods sector would be advantageous

Must have had at least fifteen years experience and worked at a senior management level

A hands-on, energetic and entrepreneurial manager with strong analytical skills, good people skills and strategic vision
