Position Summary:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Human Resources Executive will be responsible for the provision of a full generalist Human Resources service to the business which employs in the region in excess of 1 000 people.
Key areas of activity:

Providing high level operational HR support to line management and being accountable for ensuring the individual, team and organisational capabilities in respect of resource acquisition, retention, planning and development

Responsibility for the communication and implementation of company policies and programs covering manpower planning/recruitment; compensation, pension and benefit administration; organisational development; recruitment; administration; performance management; and shared services, which are in support of strategic business objectives

Managing employee relations, training and employment equity issues
Key Attributes Required:

Human Resources professional with at least five years generalist HR experience in a senior role in an industrial environment

Knowledge of the South African legislative framework and employment practices is essential

Responsive to rapidly changing business requirements and able to work under pressure to create practical solutions

Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously and be an effective team member, building and developing relationships at any level
