REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
SUMMARY OF EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY: Reporting into the Human Resources Director the role has responsibility and authority for understanding Compensation & Benefits / Reward related policies in the South African market; integration of this knowledge with the company's policies and utilisation of this information as a means of improving the company's attractiveness in the market place and retaining top talent whilst maintaining financial prudence.
GROUP BACKGROUND:
South African subsidiary of a Global Fast Moving Consumer Goods Group
KEY EXECUTIVE ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

At least 5 - 6 years experience in a Compensation and Benefits role

Experience in either a multinational or major South African organization

Ideally having worked in the Human Resource team of a ranked “best place to work” organization or, in one of the major salary survey providers
KEY JOB PERFORMANCE AREAS:

Lead and coordinate the Annual Salary Review process with the Human Resource Business Partners including external benchmarking and participation in salary surveys

Leading group level discussions relating to compensation and benefits for South African employees and making recommendations of salary bands and salary grids for increases and bonus strategy

Lead and co-ordinate the annual bonus process with Human Resource Business Partners

Review reward strategy and policies in line with Group recommendations

Manage the payroll

Understand full details of current pension and provident funds and build relationships with service providers' account managers and external fund advisor

Liaison with and advising assignees on various matters relating to their relocation including coordinating the payment of salary, benefits and tax; relocation and housing; schooling; personal tax management etc.
