Job Summary:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for:

• Managing the mining operations and run-of-mine production of one million tons chromite extraction per annum
• Managing a staff complement of 500-600 people
• Identifying and critically assessing new ferrochrome projects

Key Attributes Required:

• Must have a BSc (Mining Engineering) or BTech (Mining) degree
• At least ten years post-qualifying experience in production mining
• Should currently be in a Senior Management position with responsibility for run-of-mine production of at least one million tons per annum
• Experience in hard-rock underground mining is essential
• Experience in ferrochrome mining, opencast operations and assessing new mining projects would be advantageous
