The company retails industrial products.
Position Summary:
To assume responsibility and authority for effective leadership and efficient management of the finance function of the company's retail operations. Developing the finance strategy; assisting in the achievement of annual EBIT and cash flow targets; multinational financial reporting; driving change in the finance function and in the business; and driving internal control and business integrity.
Key Attributes Required:

Must be a CA (SA) with 10 years experience in a financial function of a retail organisation, at least four of which must have been as Head or Second in charge of a finance division.

Must have managed a staff complement of at least 40 people and have been accountable for an annual turnover in excess of R1 billion.

Must have relevant retail exposure in order to contribute effectively to strategic planning; budgeting; forecasting; and the understanding of changing market conditions and being able to take corrective action when required.

Must have multi-national reporting experience.

To ensure that senior executives and divisional management understand key dependencies, risks and opportunities in all plans, forecasts and proposals.

Able to make presentations to the Board.

To ensure that the finance department is well managed, organised and staffed with capable individuals.

Able to introduce a style of management that encourages innovation and better ways of doing things; and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the company.
